My Story
Valerie spent the first years of her career working as a PTA in outpatient orthopedics. After her husband, Chris, was injured in a motorcycle accident and sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI), she stepped away from therapy to become his caregiver. During that time she fell in love with neuro physical therapy. She returned to clinical work, this time in a neuro setting, joining the team of Neuro and Brain Performance Centers where she enjoys helping people recover from their neurological injuries.
Valerie is also co-founder of "You're Not Alone" Podcast with Morgan Schob, PTA. We talk about life challenges and insight into living with a disability and/or being a caregiver. In each episode, we will explore the experiences, perspectives, and stories of individuals who have faced and overcome the obstacles imposed by disability. Through candid conversations, personal anecdotes, and expert insights, they shed light on the diverse realities of life with disabilities, dismantling misconceptions and fostering empathy along the way.
