My "Why"
I have known for a very long time that I wanted to become a physical therapist, and I was motivated to pursue this career ever since I was 12 years old. However, I did not discover that I was passionate about neurological PT until my father suffered a TBI. I have experienced firsthand how drastically life changes when a loved one suffers a neurological injury, and through his ongoing road to recovery, I have learned how valuable it is to have a community behind you that brings hope and happiness. As physical therapists, we are so fortunate to spend more time with our patients than many other healthcare professionals, and it is through these relationships that we make an impact in our patients' lives. That's what I strive for each day as a physical therapist, to inspire hope for my patients through movement and compassion.
