A native to Mesa, Arizona, Derek Adams has been working in the field of occupational therapy for 5 years. He completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University in 2014. Since then he has completed his doctorate in occupational therapy from Northern Arizona University, focusing his capstone project on concussion's impact on function and advanced rehabilitation of the physical, visual, and cognitive symptoms related to the injury. Derek continues to show interest and passion in neurological conditions, particularly those negatively impacting participation in daily activities.
